JANSSON, Jan. Nova et Accurata Poli Arctici et terrarum Circum Iacentium Descriptio.
Amsterdam, c.1649. 405 x 520.
Original colour; some restoration to margins, but very presentable overall.
A key map of the North Pole, much like the Blaeu but harder to find. The title is surrounded by a cartouche of a cloud lined with wind-heads, with a naked native on one side and an arctic explorer, dressed in furs and huddled over a brazier, on the other.
