The World and Four Continents. The 'new' map of the world prepared by De Wit in about 1670 (state 1). Due to the lack of geographical information in the north around the Great Lakes, Hudson's Bay and Spitzbergen, it is possible this map of the world was produced before De Wit's famous maritime map. Included are the decorative figured border maps of the four continents, making up a superb and highly decorative set.
